Stay far away from me…

Post by pamcook »

You know when you have those stretches of life events?

Earlier this month, my cousin died of liver failure & kidney failure due to treatment for COVID. He recovered from the disease but their treatment killed him a week later. That weekend, we traveled to Ohio for my MIL’s memorial service. Our last day there, I heard that my ex was admitted that day for emergency surgery and was found to have covid and on a ventilator. While Cara was trying to find out if she could visit, they put him in a medically induced coma. Two days later, he died of kidney failure caused by their treatment. Two days later, we all have COVID.

Please say a prayer for continued healing for us. The kids are feeling completely healthy. Cara and I have minimal symptoms now. Joel has a sinus infection on top of this and is waiting for a call to schedule his antibody infusion. He’s so upset that he has no appetite and no sense of taste and TOMORROW’S THANKSGIVING!

Glad your symptoms are mild! At least you are all together. Have a Happy Thanksgiving in spite of it all!

Thank you friends!
I made it through another day! Cara & family are feeling better. Joel and I are not. I slept from 10PM Wednesday night until 5 PM last night and then 7:30 PM until 8:30 this morning. The only time I don’t cough persistently is when I’m lying flat. Still can’t eat and water tastes so horribly bad.

I do have pneumonia now as well but am cautiously saying I feel a tiny bit better.
Monoclonal antibody infusion request is in the works.
