As for taxes, I got hit with you owe the IRS big time for 2023. Greg's passing, life insurance, interest on accounts and a huge lump sum from social security did me in. I'm getting $ back from the state though.
I hope next year is kinder.
Did I mention I need a new water heater in my 7 1/2 year old builder spec home??? WTH?

Off to create or spend $ online...which ever comes first and lifts my spirit albeit temporary.

Shopping online would lift mine, but I'm at the point where I want instant gratification! Not gonna happen with no place to shop until our Hobby Lobby is finished. From my daily "ride bys" to check the building process - it looks like the grand opening will be February of 2025 if I'm lucky!

Pat, I got hit with a $35K tax bill one year, and had no clue about what was going on until a hold was placed on my earnings. Finally got that corrected after many trips to the auditor's office and a lot of digging through old records. Turned out we had not filed for several years, and they had estimated our gross income. Funny thing was that the gubment ended up owing us but what a nightmare before it was all finished.

Pam, your tax woes story is a bit frightening. It's too bad it took so much to get it all right.

Note to all...no online shopping, in person shopping or creating occurred today. Maybe tomorrow.
