altered canvas - Venice apt. court

Here's a canvas I made today in an art class. The picture is of the courtyard leading to the apt. we stayed in when we were in Venice over the summer. The background is gel medium, textured with stencils, foam stamps and other objects, then painted in layers of color.
Added some metal roses from artchix.

The class was offered at my Local Scrapbook Store, which also has a lot of altered art classes. It was taught by Connie Andrews who offers all sorts of terrific classes. She teaches all over the San Francisco bay area.
