I bought the letter "G" for DD a couple of weeks ago to do the same thing. I should start on it :)

What a sweet thing to do for your daughter! My Kate would love something like that.
Where did you get the big letter? I assume it is cardboard? Did you cut it yourself?

It is MDF. A little less than 1/2" think but very sturdy. I found them at michaels, acmoore--one of the chain stores. Michaels has some right now that are slightly smaller and white in the Christmas section.
I stamped on tissue paper with colorbox chalk and then tore it into pieces and applied it in layers to the letter. Then decorated away

It really is pretty. The colors and all of it just fits Maya (I know her so well...).
She must love it!
