Weekend Challenge 3/6-TRANSFERS --Winner pg 5
Re: Weekend Challenge 3/6---TRANSFERS Extended 1 week!!!!!
Paula, also if you use matte, your transfers are somewhat fuzzy and vintagy (word?) and if you use gloss gel, the transfer is crisper and cleaner.

So the gloss is also easier?Dani Larcom wrote:Not to mention MUCH easier to remove!Ruth Ann Landry wrote:Paula, also if you use matte, your transfers are somewhat fuzzy and vintagy (word?) and if you use gloss gel, the transfer is crisper and cleaner.

Yes. All my initial transfers are done with matte gel. If you like a soft, vintage, rough look, matte is what you want. If you want more crisp and clear and easier to remove, you want gloss. The entry I posted here is done with gloss.

REALLY....to all who want to get into transfer art...the key word is PATIENCE....I hate waiting and try to rush a job and then I ruin it...really, it can be crystal clear and just like a photograph if you are patient and not too rough with your paper removal. I have had lots of failures...but I won't be beaten..i keep trying, and now I have several rather nice methods of doing transfer with varying results. I practiced a lot, believe me. Don't get discouraged if you try it once or twice and haven't yet succeeded.....I lost count of my trials!

Yea, I can be somewhat impatient For some reason, I think I should be able to get things 'right' the first time, and then I get frustrated when it doesn't work the way I think it should.
Patience IS a virtue, one that I need RIGHT NOW
Paula
Thanks for all of the tips!
