As soon as you posted this topic, Holly, that memory popped into my head. I tried and tried to think of something else to do, but the card just starting forming in my head and had to come out. My mom is going to love it when I show her this summer. :cool5:

I'm beginning to think I'm Mother Goose challenged. I just couldn't decide which way to go with this. I read through A LOT of rhymes and this one kind of stuck with me and I've been on a bit of a vintage kick lately. So, finally, after playing around all morning, here's what I came up with.

Love that, Sue! Did you reduce the size of everything or is that the size it came? Do I recognize some Academy stuff there?

Yes, the blue is from Academy. I found the schoolroom picture and the clock face at Google Images and shrunk them. The rest is from a sheet of Tim H. cardstock called "Grade School". I did shrink the flashcard and the upper right and lower left images.

Thank you all for the compliments.

This was an easy one as far as finding something in the Mother Goose book that I cut up. But it was also difficult to try and do something different with it from last week. I did put tissue paper over it and anded some pastels over that for a bit of texture. Painted the goose with white Memory Mist paint. Found the definition in an old encyclopedia that I cut up, too.

Here's mine. Molly's fave is Humpty Dumpty. Found this royalty-free clip art online. The drawing is by L Frank Baum. I colored with watercolor crayons, seated him on a wall of vintage ephemera and inked in walnut ink. The background isn't what I'd planned - the gel medium changed it a bit, but it works.
