NSD - Challenge 3 - Mother's Day - Winner on Page 2

Post by bethrich »

Mother's Day is right around the corner. Can you believe it!

This challenge is to honor our mothers or other women who have influenced our lives. Post a card for that special woman, a LO about her, or a tag, ATC or project by midnight eastern time tonight. The winner will receive something from my stash.

Here is the card I made for my mom. It has already gone in the mail. You can't tell from the picture but the flower is done in 3 layers.

I really wish I were a card maker. Your cards are so beautiful - maybe one of these days I'll attempt it.

These lovely ladies are my Great Grandmother, Great Aunt Thelma, Grandmother and Mother. My mom is the one with the wild looking hair. (She said it was a bad perm.) This was probably taken in the mid to late 40's. Four strong and extremely independent women.

We are busy packing to go to our cabin for a couple of days, but I knew if I had time I needed to get my 2 mother's day cards done. One for my mom and one for my grandma. I absolutely adore those tri-fold cards and this one is for my grandma (she'll be 89 in November). The one for my mom is in progress, but I won't be able to finish it till we get back.

Thanks so much Cheryl for finding this great card format.

The color is more true in the first pic.

Wow, great tri-fold cards Debbie and Rachelle!

Cheryl, yours is so pretty and elegant.

Pam, I totally understand that bad perm thing. Cute LO.

To honor my Mom, who is no longer living, I used some photos from her tween years. These have always been favorites of mine. This is a digi LO using the April kit from Scrapper's Guide. It's called Memories, by Vera Lim. I started with a quick-drop page but changed it a lot.

These entries are all completely fabulous! I don't have time to get a mom-themed entry in for today, but I really love everything here. And I too am going to make some of those tri-fold cards. Each one posted was breathtaking!
