Does Anyone Have

Post by Pam in FL »

A recipe for an all-in-one dinner for a crowd. I have a crop once a month and am having a hard time coming up with something new. I prefer it to be in one or two dishes and really simple to make. Any ideas???

Do you mean like a casserole or something like that? I have several that my family likes that I just serve with a salad and maybe a crusty bread.

I was going to suggest a crock pot meal......Shepard's pie, salad and garlic bread always seem to go over well. And a light dessert.
I have a great Shephard's pie crock pot recipe if you'd like.

Or do you want something "light"?

On the same line as Jenni's

Taco salad:

1Lb ground beef drained, with taco seasoning mixed in
diced tomatoes
shredded lettuce
red onion
black olives
FRITO CHIPS, YUM!
Thousand Island Dressing, enough to coat, don't overdo it, it doesn't take much
shredded sharp cheese, or cheese of your choice
and add anything else you want, avacado pieces, etc.

All the recipes sound delish. Thank you so much.

I am actually looking for something on the easy side that will feed about 12. Maybe something in just one pot which is why I love the taco salad recipes since you can also adjust them for as many as needed. I'm making lasagna, baked ziti, plain old spaghetti with a meat sauce, you know I just want to get away from the tomato sauce. Also since I feed a variety of people I can't have it too spicy.

I like the shepards pie in the crock pot. Send that out to me and maybe if I can't make it for my group I can make it for DH and myself. LOL.....

check out www.allrecipes.com - it's my "go-to" place for great recipes

You could always do a baked potato bar. This time of year it's hard for me to think of recipes - it's so danged hot and who wants to fire up the oven when it's so hot outside? So maybe a salad bar?

www.Cooks.com is my go to place for recipes. But that potato bar sounds like a winner to me. Mostly everyone likes those.

Potato bar sounds great and there is an abundance of fresh veggies that can go on top and even fat free sour cream and light cheese for those of us that are watching our weight.
