TJ Sepia Technique Cards
TJ Sepia Technique Cards
I've been wanting to try the sepia technique in the curren Technique Junkies newsletter and today was the day. Also, dug out some vintage CS papers. Used a variety of 2004 Retreat papers, Ivory Elegance, and Evergreen mulberry.

How pretty!
Do tell! - it is similar to Tim's technique with his Distress Inks?

Thank you everyone! for your kind words.
It's a fairly simple technique. Stamp or print your image on light brown card stock. Highlight some areas of the image with white ink (a thin paint brush works well for this); color the image very lightly with chalks or colored pencils. I used 3 brown inks, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. My cardstock was fairly light which is why I used the Antique Linen first. If your cs is darker you could just use the 2 darker inks. Begin with lightest ink, sponging all around the image and out to the edge of the cs. Then use the medium ink over that except don't go as close to the image and finally the darkest ink in the corners.
