Join my Mystery Quilt Adventure
Join my Mystery Quilt Adventure
About an hour ago I started the Mystery Quilt over at Planet Patchwork http://planetpatchwork.com/mystery129/nicetrippart2.htm
and I thought I'd take pictures of each step and bring you all along. There will be a new installment every hour until we finally finish around 3pm Arizona time today. I chose to go through all my batik scraps for this. It always starts off slow, but we'll get really busy in another hour.

Re: Join my Mystery Quilt Adventure
I did this last year. It was so much fun. This year though DH is at work so no one to distract people. I think I'll print out the instructions as they come out and work on at a later date.
Can't wait to see what you do.

I try to do this every year. I just love seeing what comes out at the end. I have not been disappointed yet either.
Here is the next installment, the smaller of the 2 4-patches.

Love the patterns-- the material is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see the results.
Re: Join my Mystery Quilt Adventure
Here we go with step 4. I'm wondering when we'll start putting things together. That's always fun.

Now, we're starting to get interesting, heh?
Step 5 put step 4 and step 3 together with some 2.5 inch batik scraps and a medium light batik strip.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I envy those of you who sew.
Re: Join my Mystery Quilt Adventure
Here comes step 6. Incorporating step 2 into some lighter border strips with bigger batik scraps. One more step to go. I'm getting excited.

Re: Join my Mystery Quilt Adventure
Wonderful! I don't have a sewing machine. Think maybe I should check on Craigs list and see what I can find second hand.
