Coupon Holder

Post by troublesmom »

Okay I have really gotten into using my coupons. Now I need to make something to organize them for use at the grocery store. Have any of you made anything? Looking for ideas here.

I just use one of those plastic organizers (I save between 50 and 80 and week with my coupons--got to save $$$ somewhere, since I don't in my crafting)

but it's falling apart.
now you have me thinking Cheryl.

hmmm
envelopes and bind them together
there was the accordian project-avant garde maybe--I did that as a card holder but bet it would work for coupons.
going to have to do some web surfing
oh maybe after I go to the grocery store-apparently there is nothing good left to eat here

How about a scaled down Card Keeper? Tricia did that on Scrapbook Lounge so it might be at the Cinema at CS now.
Or in the Time and Space Scrap Rap there is a little book made from envelopes. I have made this one to keep photos in.

On Carol Duvall show, Dee Gruenig made a cool coupon keeper out of envelopes! I think you can still find it on HGTV. I will go see if I can find the link.

Well it looks like the catalog of Carol Duvall shows has been deleted from HGTV but I think I printed it out at the time. I will go see what I can find. I will get back to you as soon as I can find it! :)

You can also use a BIA to put the envies together but she used something called discs with a Roll a bind.

How about a scaled down version of the card keeper that Hetty posted on her blog?

Here is a project book I made some time ago...could something like this work, but intead of using the skewers to bind the book together, you could use larger envies and the BIA?

I am going to play around with it. I have a group of larger envelopes and the BIA so I'll see if I can come up with something. In the meanwhile let me see what you come up with. Thanks Ruth Ann. That looks pretty good.
