I'm trying to wake up before my work day starts. Did a youtube search for different art techniques and found this one. People are truly amazing. I'd like to know what he paints on - maybe other videos will say. Anyway, thought you all would appreciate this -

Looks like he's using a flat canvas board. That was sorta like The Joy of Painting, but in reverse. Amazing to watch but would take a lot of practice to know exactly how much pressure to use to take off the paint layers to get to the right colors.

could it be one of those foam center boards?
Instead of black it's white.

I read on another that they use the glossy side of poster board. There's a lot of pressure to complete the piece before the paint completely dries.
