This flower is so fun and can really be dressed up or down...
Jeweled Flower
1. cut 3 circles: 4 in, 3 in, 2 in (or any three diff sizes) I used plain white watercolor paper on this.
2. Emboss circles with a large "busy" stamp and colored EP.
3. Rough up and ink edges..here i used distress ink in purple...you can also glimmer mist.
4. Cut one 1 in chipboard or cardstock circle for base.
5. Crunch up flower circles...then flatten.
6. fold in half, then bring in the ends (1/3) to the center.
7. Stack and pierce and attach brad
8. Mist with water and continue to crunch until you like it!
(I also added purple stickles here and there around the edges. I also found that when using distress ink, it runs nicely when spritzed with water to give the edges a shadowy smear.)

Ruth Ann--this last one also works nicely when you free hand cut the 3 circles. Then follow all the rest of your steps. The slightly off center look is appealing in its own way, and another look will happen, when you use double sided paper and flip the middle layer.

Oh--sorry Ruth Ann for jumping the gun. I think this thread is super! I've tried several of these and find they really add a lot to a page or a card.

Here's another and one of my favs...a little more work, but worth the result.

Fancy Folded Flower
1. Cut 11 circles
2. Fold in half
3. Open and flip over and fold each bottom corner to center of fold line creating a point
4. Flip over and fold ech side up to fold line in the center.
5. Glue first petal onto a card sized piece of cardstock. Glue second petal close to first being careful to lift the little flap to press edges close together.
6. ontinue until you have a complete circle.
7. Add center to flower.

I only ended up using 10 petals for this flower and cut around base cardstock when i was done. Photos showing the steps.....
