Aunt Catherine 1943

Post by mpizzazz »

Here is another heritage layout that I worked on the whole weekend!! Half the time was spent diecutting all the chiffon flowers. I bet it would have gone faster with a Vagabond.
My great Aunt. I have other photos from this same time so this needed no journaling.

Love the page Marianne,
and the all day flowers are lovely.

These are the kinds of photos that
got me into this in the first place.

Beautiful!
How old was she in that photo? Where was it taken?

Yes, you need to buy a Vagabond. (the flowers are lovely but I thought I'd give you permission to buy the Vagabond anyway. )

Your comment, Elizabeth, made me smile. I got into genealogy because I wanted to find out more details about the people before I scrapped all the old photos. After years of research, the photos are still not scrapped. That is my goal this year but I am starting with the easy ones.

Aunt C (or Aunt Packy as I called her. I couldn't say Cathy) was born in 1904 so she was 39 in the photo. She is sitting by a tree in the front yard of the house that I inherited from my Mom in NJ. She was born and died in that house.

When I go up there next, I want to take matching photos of the interior to photos that were taken at this same time-1943-when a new addition was finished. Some stuff is still in the exact same place!

Thanks, Pam, for letting me buy a Vagabond. I'll remember that!
