Ok, here is my first page for the gesso-ed calendar book which is going to evolve into a book about things I like, I think
Back in the day, I cut out a lot of the little sketches that Gourmet magazine sprinkled through the magazine to illustrate stories. I love them. These are by Ernst-Prey about whom I could find no info. I doubt that the artist Barbara E. P. would have been old enough then.
I'm not thrilled with the color photo of the page, it is less garish in person. I used metal flakes here and there where I stamped which I was trying to get to show up.

Here is my second page. The circle of colors is made up of little pictures mostly faces. I cut it from a magazine. Cutouts of Italian paper for the swirls. Quote from John Greenleaf Whittier.

I wish I remembered where I got that circle. It looks like something, maybe, from Wired magazine but I don't know. It is really cool.

Wow, I like the 2nd page even more than the first - and I loved that one! I've been purging old issues of Phoenix House & Garden that I subscribed to for awhile; sure hope I, too, have been keeping the illustrations I liked, now that I've seen what you did with yours!
