September Lottery-Winner announced!
Re: September Lottery
Call me crazy, but I just HAD to make a teapot to go with the teacup. I saw a Youtube video where a gal made a box in the shape of a teapot. There was a template available for it, but you had to order it. Well, I need instant gratification, so I studied the video (no instructions, just the finished product) and made a similar teapot, but it isn't a box.
I cut a 3/4" wide strip of mat board, covered it, and made it into a circle. Then I sandwiched it between two covered pieces of mat board shaped like the body of the pot.
I molded aluminum foil for the spout and handle and painted them with metallic paint and also used foil on the lid. I took a strip of Ten Second Studio metal, alcohol inked it, put it through the crimper and made the large flower.
The front: Here's a side view. It's not a very good picture, but you can see the strip of mat board between the covers. And the pieces together:

Re: September Lottery
That is just soooooo freaking cool. I need to get going on this challenge for I am hoping to win this month.
Re: September Lottery
I decided to combine Grungy Monday with the lottery this month and made a transparent facet collage pendant with a tiny little teacup in the very bottom.
The teapot is fantastic Sue!

Re: September Lottery
Thanks, Sue, it's not resin, it's one of the Tim Holtz ideology facets with a mini collage behind it and glued on with glossy accents.pugmom wrote:YES, you must!Paula wrote:That necklace is awesome!!! I must enter---I must enter!!!

Re: September Lottery-drawing Oct.3
I will be leaving town very early on Sept. 30 and returning the evening of Monday, October 3. Since we got a little bit of a late start this month, I will draw the winner when I get home. I will give you until 7 pm mountain time on Mon. Oct 3 to get your entries in.
Looking forward to seeing lots and lots of beautiful art.
