Re: December crop challenge #1
This year I am doing a theme. Very original-The 12 Days of Christmas song. I sort of collect 12 days stuff so decided I should finally do tags. I see no need to use Tim stuff to do these tags. I do think the Kraft Core paper is cool but I'll keep playing with the technique to get it without buying the paper.
Detail of the moon behind the tree
I cut out a spiral shape from a scalloped flower. Then I snipped off the ends of the scallops with the deckle scissors. Proceeded just like Tim's with toothpick. Inked and sprayed the pine cone. Since I took the picture, I've added some stickles on the pinecone edges.

That turned out fantastic! And I love your improvised pinecone. I thought about doing that too. Maybe I'll give it a try now that I see yours!

Love it, Marianne! I look forward to seeing each day come to life as a tag.

You got further than I did Monica.
Marianne you did a great job on that and I love all your substitutes. I have to do a lot of subbing and that doesn't bother me either.

Should I call it BTS: Monica's tag #1 in progress? It took me forever to find the Distress papers I'd bought at Joann's a couple months ago (when there was a killer cardstock sale).

I had a go too. The cones are real ones from Larch and Alder that I picked up on a walk. The fibres are silver and it's all quite sparkly. I'm using canvas as the background for the tags this year.
