On the 10th day of December the Tim tag looked like this: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2 ... ag-10.html

Well, I don't know about you all, but I'm definitely inspired to get out my tape and make some more tape transfers! I've done this technique many times but never thought to back it with a metallic. Fun stuff!

I most likely won't do the transfer. I will probably just use Crystal Effects to adhere the image to the piece. I don't want to try that.

It's actually a really easy technique. I've used it several times. The hard part for me at this time of year is finding the flippin' packing tape!!!

Are you trying to talk me into it Monica? I just may give it a try because I've been using the packing tape a lot lately and know right where it is.

Here is the 10 Lords a Leaping.
I did the background with the packing tape transfer using a shopping bag with the old newspaper print. I backed it with the silver foil which is nice and shiny but you can only see it in the upper right corner.
I severely photoshopped the Umbrella Man into a leaping Lord. A few more glassine holly leaves and a bunch of metal junk glued together for a 'wreath' at the bottom.

Marianne, you're so talented and imaginative. I just love all of these 12 days tags you've done. How are you going to display them when you're finished?

Thanks so much, Carol!
I display all my tags on my felt design wall during the Christmas season. I just pin them through the felt into a tree shape each year. Five years' worth of tags is going to fill the wall so I don't know what I will do next year if Tim does them.

Finally have the decorations and the laundry done, kitchen is clean, fresh sheets on the bed, so it's play time! Found some Santas that I liked for the baubles, did the transfer, didn't have any metal for the backing but darned if aluminum foil doesn't work very well. Waiting for them to dry and making some backgrounds. Whoo hoo! I might actually get a few of these done!

Marianne, I love how you're doing all of yours using the carol as your theme. Your adaptations of the techniques are absolutely beautiful.
