Plastic Packaging Ornament

Post by mpizzazz »

I saw this idea on one of the newsletter emails I get, forget which one, so when I got this circular packaging recently with buttons in it, I knew what to do with it.
Here is the before photo with packaging, some snowman wrapping paper, inked background using one of those index sheets you get from photo printers. Also sprayed the background with silver webbing and later stamped white acrylic paint snowflakes on it. I didn't use any of the nice blue dryer lint from our new flannel sheet.

If you keep something long enough, you will use it. The blue tape around the outside is from the Surf's Up! kit. I stamped it with black Stazon so it didn't look so solid.

Here is a detail shot of the 'snow globe' with lots of snow, vintage mica flakes that Keitha sent me, glitter, etc.

And here is the back with a little something on it because I don't like one sided ornaments.

And, yes, Pam, my table is all cleaned up.

I actually bought some similar packaging a couple of years ago. It's still in my closet.

Marianne - adorable!

Wow, thanks, everyone! I'm glad you like it. I thought it turned out pretty cute and it was such a great excuse to use some more Stickles and glitter. My table might be cleared up but the carpet sure is sparkling.

Rachelle, those choc. orange spheres would be great. At first I was going to cut out the round part of this one but the back fit into it so nicely and it gave another place to do layers of papers. I'm glad I kept it.

I have pizza boxes full of hard plastic containers so now I am ready to see what else I can make!

Awesome, awesome awesome. I simply love snowmen. When you tire of him Marianne you can send him to me ;)

I would love to try and do something like that after the holidays are over.
