My poor brother looks like a deer in the headlights.

Don't you wish you had the negative? I'll bet your head is on the negative ;) - the developed size often cut off people's heads and feet. Regardless, I'm so glad you put this photo on a page and it's so pretty!

Pam - I swear I had that same dress! I need to find one of those photos...

I am trying to use up my ALSB pages from CS. This is my DGD Allyson Christmas 2008 opening up the Nintendo DS she wanted. She loved it. The paper has gold in it and also the brads in the flower are gold, the ribbon is from my Secret Sister Sue and it's cream, so I killed 2 birds there. And the paper clip is gold also. The photo doesn't really pick up the gold color that well.

I just tried to print it and the darned thing cut even more of my head off. At least that dress was several inches longer than the one I was wearing. Thank goodness my mother thought Shirley Temple's dresses were too short or there'd be almost bottomless photos of me to go with the topless ones.

Good LO Debbie. I loved that kit.

Wow! What a great start! Every layout that's been posted so far is wonderful! I'm getting photos printed today - maybe I can finally get back in the scrapping groove, and use this challenge as a jumping off point. :D

Debbie! I love that photo of your granddaughter - she just looks completely overwhelmed.
Way to go using the cream & gold, too!

Julie - I'm looking forward to seeing your layout.

Remember folks - any holiday...

My challenge to you all should be fairly easy - Scrapbook a layout about a holiday. This doesn't even have to be a "sanctioned" holiday. It could be a holiday that only you or your family celebrates.

AND/OR - Use the colors white, cream & gold in a layout.

AND/OR - Use something from the Secret Sister Swap we just did with Christy.

You can submit multiple layouts for more chances to win the random drawing at the end of the month.

Pam . . . such a pretty LO. I've kept a copy for future use. :-) Who made the background paper?

Pam? Me? My background paper is Webster's Pages. The design is all theirs (no stamping). I did just a bit of inking around the border.
ETA - oh geez, you added my post, so you must have meant me. I hate the first day back to work after a holiday break...my brain feels like it's not firing on all the cylinders.
Pam P - is your layout paper or digital? Your background paper is gorgeous, too.

It's digital - a kit that I stumbled across yesterday and decided that I needed it. Wish it were regular cause I love the entire kit.

Here's a layout I did on Sunday. Obviously not Christmas - just Mia showing off her Party in the USA dress. She loves to wear it to the market in Sharjah. Cara said it makes all the old Arab men smile and they pat he on the head. Mia says, "It's because they like my dress, Mama."

This was not a "holiday", but it was Vacation Bible School. Steven and his cousin Jake went and had a great time. There are gold, cream and white colors in the layout. I'm trying to use up all those kits that I purchased years ago....I'm such a horder
