February 2012 Card Sketch Challenge

Oh, gosh, Marianne. I love them all, too. Love the idea of the negative space from the butterfly punch. I'm always trying to remember to frame things in my Silhouette so that I will have a negative shape left to use once I punch out the image, too. Clear. Anyway, same principle but used with an electronic cutter.

I love the one with the brown scraps, too. I love the way you use up every little bit of scrap. That is a true Paper Lover.

Now don't faint, but I actually managed to get this month's sketch done!! When sorting through all my (s)crap stuff I found the stamp project from Artifacts with the cards inside waiting to be finished, and I thought of this sketch. Being me, I couldn't just do the sketch the way it was designed, so I rotated it 90 degrees and Voila! Behind the four squares are foam squares, and it really doesn't look that far out IRL... the light from my lamp really makes them seem like they are floating out in front of the card.

And, Deb, your card is so bright and Spring-y! I really like the little butterflies.

Debbie and Monica, so happy to see you here and posting. Love both of these cards. They both use a twist on the sketch, which is really just a suggestion of an idea anyway. I love Artifacts so that card is really cool. And I also love the yellow butterflies floating around on the squares. Fantastic, both of you. Thanks for playing.
