February 2012 Card Sketch Challenge

So here's the sketch I've prepared for February. I have used it for a Valentine, just for a little inspiration. For those of you playing along with PSL over at the Coffeehouse, be SURE to post your card over there FIRST. You wouldn't want to risk disqualification by some eagle-eyed team captain. Hope you like this one. It's more my speed. I tend to prefer cards with squares and rectangles.

And here is my sample Valentine. White card base from stash along with fiber, stamp and beads used on heart. Red and black mats from Club Scrap. The heart design paper (Smooth Bristol) was sprayed with Smooch using little hearts cut on Silhouette as masks and then cut into squares for this card.

This will really be a challenge for me. It's very different from what I would normally do so it will be fun to come up with something for it.

The squares with hearts is a stamp from My Funny Valentine, or whatever last years CS valentine kit was.. Thanks!

I couldn't stop with one when there were so many scraps in the bag I grabbed. I have a drawer labelled "Card Parts" where I throw stuff that might go on cards. One little bag had most of this stuff in it. Of course, all the trimming into squares created a pile of smaller scraps that I might have to make into a card tonight to clear it off the table.
The CS stamp is on an alcohol plaid background. The butterflies are the negative spaces from punches. The orange squares were all just scraps.
