Jill, if you have any waterbased markers (Marvy, Tombow, Stampin Up) give them a try. They might not "move" as much as the distress, but you can get them to work pretty well!

LOVE my Tombows! Waterbased and depending on the surface, they move pretty good, can't wait to try them on this, because I will be a cheapo when it comes to buying distress markers... I'll make use of my Tombows :)

As I said in my post with my samples, I don't have the distress markers and used my ancient Marvy markers, also experimented with Pitt pens, etc. Try what you have even if they are your grandchildren's $1 store markers.
