This was a real challenge for me on so many levels and I'm probably going to change a few things after I ponder it for a while. This is my father in law. He loved living in Arizona so I was trying to go with a southwest theme, but I REALLY don't like the kokopelli squares or the square in the bottom right corner - YUCK. .....................OH! I just thought of something. I think I have a small dream catcher (somewhere). I'll try to find that and see how it works.

I also tried to channel Christy for the distressing and drippage, but she must be at a soccer game today, cause she just wasn't coming through very clearly.

Anyway, here it is for now. If (when) I change it, I'll post a new picture (provided it's an improvement) (Actually, anything will be an improvement  ).

I couldn't stand it, I took the squares off, but I'll have to look for something else later. This is a bad photo, but it looks better without the other stuff.

Oh, the second one is much better, the squares were too dark and the big one too heavy. A dreamcatcher sounds lighter and would fit that space nicely. Otherwise, you could move the banner over to the right to balance the sun and then add a few lines of journaling under your horizontal line.   for taking up the challenge,Sue! This is a hard one, Deb!

Well, of course I couldn't find the dream catcher  so I changed the strip at the bottom of the photos (the aqua just wasn't workin for me) and moved the banner over (at Marianne's suggestion - thank you very much!) and will put some journaling in the bottom left. It still doesn't look finished, but for now it is.

If you look VEEEEEERRRRRYYYYYY closely, you will see that there is a turquoise stone in his string tie. So, I did meet the color part of the challenge  :tomato:

Sometimes, Less is More, Sue! It looks good and that dream catcher will turn up when you least expect it!

As soon as I read drippage it made me think of crayons, having recently made this layout. I'm not submitting it for the challenge because it was done before the challenge was issued, but thought I'd share anyway. There's no journaling as that will go on an accompanying page in my album; the photo is in the Harrison Caves in Barbados.

Sue, love the revamped LO! I definitely prefer the end result over the first edition. I've been known to completely revamp a finished page just because it wasn't working for me... sometimes the muse will work when I try to force things to fit a challenge but most of the time the wench refuses to cooperate.

Keitha, what a cool look you got with crayons! I'll have to try that one!
