Re: Camp Mail - Art Journals
Ok, I did get registered over there and I've tried my hand at the first journaling prompt. Still waiting to be able to post, but thought I'd post my first attempt at a digi journal page. It's fun, though I miss the messy part of physical pages.

Re: Camp Mail - Art Journals
Here is another page I did today using that red liquidtex spray paint I talked about in a different thread. I have a quote I want to put on the page but haven't decieded quite how I want to place it.

Re: Camp Mail - Art Journals
Here is something silly that I had stuck in my brain to do.
The figures were illustrations in an article in the German train magazine and I saved them because they were unusual. And, yes, the German long distance trains have a magazine like a plane. They even have a shopping catalogue that you can spend the points you accrue from travel on stuff. The trains there were wonderful, sure wish we had public transport like that.
The 'pink lady' apple logo and slogan came on a box of apples we bought.
I never did use either in my journal so after I got home I found a suitable page to put them on together.

Enjoying all the AJ posts. Don't think I ever posted this one. It was fun and makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Re: Photography Class - paper scrapbooking
Here is a layout for Challenge #4-there are 5 photos and 5 patterned papers if you count the Prima packaging.
I don't think this needs any further explanation. Thank you to those people I "borrowed" photos from for this layout. I left before the photos with Donna were taken.

Re: Camp Jumble
Having the beach theme on my brain, I did this board titled "Palm at Sunset". Sits on my art table to remind me of the beach everyday. I used acrylics, molding paste, pan pastels, beads and shells I collected at the beach last summer.

Re: Camp Mail - Art Journals
Pam's thread on mediums made me pull out my black gesso and finish up this AJ page. I had this quote but wasn't sure how I wanted to use it. I think the black made a perfect backdrop. This gesso gave the background an almost chalkboard texture.

Re: Camp Mail - Art Journals
Here's another AJ page. I used gel medium in the inks. It gives a really glossy texture. Keeps the texture from being so flat. It's a quote that the grandkids and I say to each other all the time. If I say it to Jac, he always says "No I love you more".

Re: Camp Jumble
As much as I love all the beachy things, I'm switching gears..... it's Christmas time!
Instead of an altered paintbrush, I altered a pastry brush for a little vintagey, Christmasy wall decor.

Re: Camp Mail - cards
I bought Heidi Swapp's Color Magic Live kit and class.
Here are the cards and envelope we made the first night (the purple striped piece is an envelope).

A few photos of the Memory File Folder we did in Heidi Swapp's Color Magic Live class.
I'm really glad I did this class - I like the Memory File concept but felt a bit overwhelmed when I tried to put one together. I'll add the photos and slip this inside a page protector in a regular album. I rarely print anything smaller than a traditional size (about 4 x 6) so I should be able to get 12 - 14 photos in this. It only took an hour to put it together.
