Duh, (slap to forehead) now I think I've got it. I hope. So I make 7 pages ( and they are each really what amounts to 4 separate page sides) all alike? and send you 6 {double }pages, and you will return 6 different ones from the swap. And they should start with

...(whatever). And we embellish fat or skinny, etc.

Do I have it?

Send me 7 single pages, each measuring 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. Vertical allignment (up and down, not longways)

Once you get them back, you can glue them into an altered book or back to back.

My one piece of advice to you all who are new at this. Maybe Luanne mentioned it and I missed in that case sorry for double post.



Since this is going to be turned into a book, make sure to leave about 1/2" on the left side free of embellishments, text etc. You do not want to lose what ever is there when you assemble it into a book.

The best way to do that is to score .5" from left edge.

Remember, you are making 1-sided pages. In the diagram below you'll cut on the dotted line to make 2 pages.

I guess my problem stems from the sizes given here. You say 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in heading.

But if I cut an 8 1/2 x 11 in half. I don't get those measurements. I get 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 or 4 1/4 by 11. What are the measurements you really want?

I told you I must have left my brain somewhere, ...cause I still don't know. Please Don't yell at me or give up on me.

I think she was trying to say that you would get 4 pages from an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper (sort of like a normal card size front). I had to read it a few times myself.

wow, I'm totally NOT CLEAR, and confused myself! lol

Please take an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper and fold it in half (like a hamburger)

Then cut along the fold.

You will have 2 pieces of paper.

Fold each of these again (like a hamburger)

Cut along the fold.

You will have 4 pieces of paper.

Decorate these.

Originally I meant the larger size, but you're right, I was TOTALLY UNCLEAR!!! lol

Now let me be sure----the pages go vertical in LO, meaning that when we take the 1/2 inch off the side ( for book assembly) we then really end up with 3 3/4 by 5 1/2 inch work space. Correct?

O.K. After reading this thread like a hundred times I've finally figured out how to cut the paper. (Thanks Holly for asking all those ???, I didn't have a clue either ) so I guess you can count me in.
I am supposed to be leaving in about 5 hours for a 2 day crop, so to that end I have written down all my swaps and hope to get most of them done this weekend. If I do it will be a miracle....

So 4 ATC's from an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper. Using CS paper and embellishments. Make 8, Send 7, Get 6 back. Get a book back with a cover, add our page and wa'la we have a ATC book... Does this sound right?

I only cut the paper for mine. I'm stuck, I love being a mom and scrapbooking. But we all love scrapbooking and those who are moms, love being a mom. I cant think of anything else.

Brandi, you are creative, and I know you can come up with plenty of things. Just sit a moment and look around you, and what makes you happy when you pick it up, or when you see it. I did mine with cups and saucers, because I am a sucker for pretty china. Some people collect shoes, or purses, or hats. I have 8 full sets of china, and another 8 of soup and sandwich sets, and several more odd sets that aren't really more than one type of plate.
I see pretty china and can't pass it up if its a good price. That's why I stay out of those departments. I mean you can only eat off one plate at a time, right?
