Hey even I have to use a stool for that top shelf

I started tonight playing with two Paula stamps and using colored PITT pens. I don't have many colors but they have that vibrant PB look. What is fun in coloring her stamps is that since they are so fanciful you can use any colors. I don't feel the need to use realistic colors.

How's everyone doing with their PB, MS and other stamps that are made for coloring? Nothing to show yet but I do have several images in progress. I'm not a big colorer so I am not finding this challenge coming naturally. A challenge it is!

I did dig out my PB of Paula Best (hey, PB of PB) and have it out in the open now. Picked out a couple to stamp. But I've been busy on cards and sketches so you will have to wait a few for me. Can't wait to see this thread as it develops.

I don't have stamps from either of them. I'm not much for coloring but probably can find some stamps in my limited  stamp collection.

Well here is my first attempt at Paula stamps. I really started out just goofing and experimenting with colors. But as I went along and kept adding things I could see a card using all 3 of them. That got me going then for a proper background. So I got out a few unused stencils and selected one that is a bit like a sun burst. I used Distress Paints on the stencil on glossy black card stock. Love using those paints on black. Anyway, here is the result. I want to make some more now. I have to say I do find coloring a little tedious but at the same time addictive.

EXCELLENT!

SPECTACULAR!

Now that's what I'm talking about.

Great coloring and the additional idea of the colorful stencil on black. Genius.

Wowzers! Love it! I don't have any of her stamps but I think I have something that will work.

Thanks Jen and Debbie! She was fun to play with and I was happy to get an untouched stencil gooped up too.

Debbie, looking forward to seeing what you can come up with in a different stamp. I know there are all sorts of similar stamps out there that have this look.

oh the stenciled background on the black really makes it! It pulls it all together I think. Wonderful work

Farley, looking at these again.
Did you heat emboss the design?
In black? Or white? Or both?
I just can't figure out it.
Fantastic in any case.

No heat embossing was involved. I merely used either a black PITT pen or the Pentel Sunburst white pen to do some outlining. It looked flat before I did that.
