Re: 6 x 6 Class - Week #20 LOs

Wow, you all had a real love/hate relationship with this class. It's been great to see all the layouts produced by all of you who made it through to the end.   :happywave:    Love/Hate is exactly right. I'm glad that I attempted each one. I would say that what I...

Re: 6 x 6 Class - Week #20 LOs

Ok, you ladies go ON with your "I'm not cutting those damn sunburst" layouts! Your layouts are wonderful, and Jill - I love how you used one paper and just drew the lines. You totally got the effect without having to try to match up all of these cuts again. I tried, and my first pass was s...

Re: Happy weekend!

Many wishes for a happy retirement, Pam! My happy weekend post is about life getting back to normal. I know we're not there yet, but this weekend I got to participate in so many things that bring me joy. We had High School Football on Friday, and Jake and the marching band sounded AMAZING! Then yest...

Re: Weekend (and Monday) scrapping accomplishments

Thank you Pam! I really want to give another plug to Simple Cut Creations . I found them on Pinterest, and purchased every cutting formula that I could find. The layouts all have fairly simple geometry, and it's very ALSB in nature, in that you start with 12-14 pieces of patterned paper and cardstoc...

Re: Halloween Card Swap - 2021

I can't commit to this, but just wanted to throw out there that I was at the office cleaning out my desk a couple of weeks back, and I found a card I made for a Halloween Card swap from I don't even know when. I had made one too many (because I was counting myself, I guess), and I just shoved the th...

Re: Weekend (and Monday) scrapping accomplishments

Lastly, the double-page spreads. A Scrapbook Generation kit. This is our last elementary school valentines making (from 2018), and I never take Valentines Day photos otherwise, so I don't have any idea what I'm going to do with the rest of these V-day themed layouts. Valentines.jpg This was such a f...

Re: Weekend (and Monday) scrapping accomplishments

But wait.. there's more. :-) Another layout from a Simple Cut Creation. I was looking to bash some Creative Memories Stash Overtime.jpg Another SCC. These layout formulas do call for embellishments, but I just didn't. TShirtQuilt.jpg Another SCC. Something I want to add about this though - I went to...

Weekend (and Monday) scrapping accomplishments

More often than not, my process starts with pre-making page kits, or empty layouts from sketches or ALSB-like formulas. I want to play with paper, but I don't want the restriction of assembling the paper for any particular purpose. This means I wind up with a LOT of empty layouts that lay around for...

Re: 6x6 Week #19 Layouts

Pam P - your title says it all. The layout and the photo are both just lovely.

Pam C - you really know how to take a sketch and make it your own. I love this.

6x6 Week #19 Layouts

Almost finished! I'm excited. I have two this week, and I'm kind of proud to say that for one of them, the 1x1 pieces were exclusively from scraps that were left over on the table. This one wasn't so bad, and I had two single photos that seemed to work just right for the sketch.

Re: 6 x 6 Class - Week #18 LOs

OK, that is outstanding Pam. I mean, the wide stripes are a bit reminiscent of the banners, and I think it totally works. I am reminded of some super old wide stripe paper that I know I have somewhere that I think would look really good with your take on this sketch. Only two more weeks to go...

Re: The weekend post

It turns out that YouTube TV saved my spot and I was able to see the rest of the show, but they didn't go into what became of the passengers. so thank you for that additional ending. They showed photos of the 38 planes landed at Gander airport, and it gave me chills, because it became obvious how su...
