Paper flowers from circles
Re: Paper flowers from circles
These are so pretty. I especially like the flower with the map as the background. Using the map as a flower petal was unexpected and that orange center gives it a wondenful pop of color. I'm making a mini-album for a girl's trip to Cabo. I already have a map of the area so now all I have to do is get to work. Thanks for the idea.

Had to give these a try. I used scraps of two-sided paper and a 1" punch. Next time I'll use some distress ink before I start folding. I'll definitely be making more of these.

They have such an elegant look. I definitely need to try this.

I can't take credit for the flowers in my original post - that's the photo from the tutorial. They are beautiful though. I pulled a scrap piece of 2-sided American Crafts paper and made this one below. For my flower centre I cut a huge honkin' glue dot off the roll, and beginning at the outside wound fibre around into the centre until it was covered. Then I pulled off the backing and adhered it.

Very pretty, Sue and Keitha!
I have made these before and used them on gifts instead of a bow. But I'm trying to figure out how they got the white edge all around the edges on the ones in the tut. Is that because they used two circles back to back and one slipped in the folding? Or were they cut two different sizes? I really like that white edging.

I wondered that too Marianne, because I also liked the white edge. She definitely glued papers back to back for the map ones, and I think it's because the paper slipped with the folding.
