December crop challenge #2
December crop challenge #2
On the 2nd day of December the Tim tag looked like this: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2 ... tag-2.html. I like the simplicity of today's tag and the variants he posted. The beauty of his resist technique is that you ca make your own resist paper using clear embossing powder! If you're like me, clear EP is something you always have on hand. Okay, create and share here!

This one I can do. Grabbed some kraft paper from a huge roll here at the office to specifically make my own resist paper. Finally using my head for something other than a hair anchor.

The background is music paper, painted with white acrylic, then green holly stamped on top and clear embossed. The deer is from one of the Craft Artist programs. I resized it and printed it on textured card, cut it out, then went over it with brown pigment ink. I glued green beads on his antlers and tied a little charm round his neck.

I went with the tree version (since I have that die). Details and supplies are on my blog. I'm loving that picket fence distress stain.

Here is my Tag #2. I wish all the shimmer would show up on the photo, but it doesn't. Looks much better IRL.

Rachelle and Debbie they are both just wonderful renditions. I love all the ideas that come out of doing these tags. Debbie I don't think the photos ever do them justice.

Re: December crop challenge #2
Here's my Day 2-Two Turtle Doves. I have the regular pack of kraft resist paper. The text paper with numbers is there buried under several layers of paint! And, how could I forget to clear emboss the holly I stamped on it? Sheesh, and the ink was just about the exact color of the paper's resist. So this is 2 out of 2 tag backgrounds to practice again.
Forgot to mention, I printed the birds out on canvas paper (thanks again, Kath) and then roughed up the edges. I really like the look of it.

Love the bird tag Marianne!! Looks great. I like your idea about doing the tags to the 12 days of Christmas. I remember we did a swap about that and I had the milking maids!! Had a hard time with that one,
