My Day 9 Tags - Quick and dirty!

Post by rinda »

Here's my tags for today. They took on a life of their own and don't bear that much of a resemblance to Tim's, but I followed all this steps.
For the bear tag, I used a Close to My Heart stamp set. Stamped in black (though it looks blue in the scan); painted with white dabber; used anitque linen, tea dye and vintage photo for the browns; Used green with the CS juniper leaves and edged in red. Stamped with distress red ink and used distressed vintage photo powder for the sentiment. Finished it off with CS Wild, Wild, West start and a wood dominoe (stained with vintage photo ink). This was one of the few remaining Christmas stamp sets I had not yet used on my tags, and it seemed to work.
For the angel tag, I used a completely different color palette. Stamped angel in black, used silver metallic dabber. Highlighted with mustard seed distress ink. Stamped "glory to God" in black soot and CS swirl in Vintage Photo. Edged with blue distress and stamped CS Noel in Blue Adirondack embossing powder. Did grungeboard 15 with blue distress ink and added door knocker from some cs kit (I think).
I'm sad that there's only 3 more days left.

I think today's technique is my favorite so far because it's quick and messy. I can't wait till the weekend so I can play.

Rinda I like them both but must pick the angel one. Just something about it.

As I've mentioned before - I think it's great that you used Tim's techniques, but you made them your own. I love the tags!!!
