The Lochridge Slides
Re: The Lochridge Slides
very nice!! Love the memories ...........
Re: The Lochridge Slides
My grandmother turned most of her backyard into a vegetable garden. Wish I had photos of that.
Loving your LOs - they're gorgeous and they're bringing back so many memories for me.

Re: The Lochridge Slides
Your grandpa and my mom would have gotten along famously! My mom always rototilled and planted a half acre garden, which the kids had to weed... (groan grumble moan). I have so many memories of harvesting the bounty and spending days at a time canning!! U-pick farms with peaches and apricots always meant long days making jam and canning fruit.
I wish I had the space at our house for a garden! Some day we'll sell and buy a few acres in the country.... I'll have to remember not to get a glass-topped stove next time, as I could can from the farmer's market but can't use the pressure cooker on my stove!

Wonderful layout Rachelle. I love that kit and still have a few pieces left - the red is gone but I have some of the gray. Your outfit for school is stunning!

Re: The Lochridge Slides
Here are a couple more installments in the Lochridge Slides.
Last week's theme was summer vacation: I spent many a summer camping with my grandparents and chose a trip to Ocean Shores, Washington for this one.
This week's theme is self improvement; I chose to scrap my grandma's attempt at going from brunette to blond. It ended up orange at first and then several trips to the beauty parlor finally got her to the blond she wanted, but eventually she went red and stayed that way. I personally like her natural brunette; it really suits her.

Re: The Lochridge Slides
Great pages. She was a very pretty lady no matter the hair color. I do tend to agree her natural color looked terrific.

Re: The Lochridge Slides
I'm with you guys - I like the brunette much better. But remember in those days it was all about the blonde bombshell. Thank goodness times have changed!
Rachelle, I'm enjoying your trip through the slides so much!
