Re: what's old is new again
This die cut paper has been in my stash for more than a few years. And those 3 chipboard elements (2 circles and a square) - I can't even remember buying them! Every season I take some photos of our home and rarely do anything with the photos.
These other photos are from around the corner. I get physically sick when I think about how soon this will all be concrete and multi-story buildings. Gotta stay focused on getting a payday and our dream of buying a small farm.Pam Cook #48
Re: diecuts
When I remember to cluster die cuts, I not only like how they look on my pages so much better than when I use one or two, but it feels good to use them instead of storing them!

Okay. This is stretching it but the Comics kit is kind of old, right? Used Woven Thread layout card. I liked it. Chrissie and me at the Dennis the Menace Playground in Monterey.

Out on the Thirsty Tortuga with Cheryl & her family (some of them!)
Used a die cut from Debi, too!
Experimenting to try to get photos to post right side up from my phone.

Re: what's old is new again
I was really digging through the old stuff when I made the maze-book. The tags are from a CS kit called DIY, way way back and the cover is from another oldie called Citrus (or something similar). The fibres are also ancient and the adhesive tag on the front is from a set called Chipperz dated 2007.

Re: Seasonal palettes
Summer!
Mia & Zain happened to be in Dubai over Jude's birthday week so they got to go to her birthday party. The interweb is a pretty wonderful tool for keeping long distance friends.

HKC challenge to use a bunch of scraps.
This photo of Zain makes me laugh every time I see it. He is so happy to be a "big kid". Hahaha!

Re: Stars
I found a packet of old school gold, silver, red and green stars when cleaning out the old supplies closet at work (the kind your teacher put on your papers in the 2nd grade). Of course I said "hmmm, I bet I can use these." So, a year later, a couple of them have found their way onto Adam's graduation pages.
Re: Gold rush fever
Another one of my "easy birth" kids. Funny story - we always called Darren "your other brother Darryl" because of the Newhart Show. (Anyone besides me remember "Hi, I'm Darryl and this is my other brother Darryl.) That's the only way that Chris ever heard him referred to other than by his real name. Anyway, flash forward to Chris in high school and he's asking why Darren's last name isn't Phillips. Suddenly he looked at me and said "You mean he isn't really my brother???" We all had a good chuckle with that one.
Anyway, this is Darren, wife Jess, and her children Charles and Jaz. I now have "grandchildren" that I haven't met yet, but hope to soon. They've both retired now (USN) and are moving back to the right coast. Finally.
Oh, gold doilies, gold on poinsettias, and gold curly thingie.

Very nice page!
I do remember Darryl and his brother Darryl but I don't recall ever watching an episode of the show (but am certain I watched it regularly).

Re: Celebrate life
Another page from Mia's birthday. Color is off because it's that time of the year.

Re: Scraplifted!
An adapted Shimelle sketch. As you can see, I'm still playing catch-up.
Re: All the other stuff
Hooray! Christmas 2014 is finished.
Re: Stars
Layout depicting the photos we took of neon on the Miracle Mile in Tucson. Stardust paper stack from DCWV. First time I've used my neon inks. That I just HAD to have...when was it that they appeared? So there's probably another thread I could post this in. NBUS???
As usual, I couldn't bring myself to put journaling on this once I finished. I should follow the examples of my teachers and START with the journaling. But the facts will appear on a pocket page outlining each day of the trip. I promise.
