AUGUST 2017 Holiday Card Challenge
AUGUST 2017 Holiday Card Challenge
This month you need to pull out the punches! I'm sure some of you have those border punches...somewhere. I have a "few", well, more than a few actually.
Use your border punch, any kind, any theme...and punch away.
Here are 2 simple examples for you, using a somewhat untraditional color choice, with a white card base. The second card has silver glitter paper below the punched area.

Ooh nice cards and great idea Pat. Amazingly I have maybe just one border punch but I'm sure I can come up with an alternative.

Ooohh...aaahhh...
I joined in a 100 days of creating challenge so my plan is to get caught up again on all the card challenges. My Vagabond might get a work-out this month.

I bet that silver glitter paper makes them look really special. My border punch is already sitting on my workbench!

Re: AUGUST 2017 Holiday Card Challenge
I think all my border punches went kaflooey back in Hurricane Irene.... but if I can't find one of those, I'll use some of the borders in my Sizzix die set that I just HAD to have but haven't even used yet...

I don't have any border punches so used dies. The gold is one border cut into sections.

Thanks, Pam, yes, it is a very intricate die. I didn't use the third border of it. No, dryer sheets were not involved, I never buy them. I did have Press and Seal but have never made it work. So, it's just poke and poke and it doesn't take long.pamcook wrote:Ooooh! Pretty! How intricate. Did you use dryer sheets?

Very pretty Marianne! I don't use dryer sheets either but I do use the foil, makes it much easier.
