Next weekend is open to the public, but it is a total madhouse.
Anyway, we've been doing this for the last 5 years and buy about 18 pots of various sizes (some quite large). We always have to bring the plants into the garage at night for about a week until they acclimate to being outside and the nighttime temps stay above 45. It's a pain, but worth it to me to avoid the crowds.
This is a page I did yesterday of the view of the mountains on Saturday when we bought our plants. Some snow on the mountains, but everything else is so green and springy looking. And this is what I woke up to this morning .... My plants have been in the garage with a space heater (it's only 26 degrees outside) and we have about 11 inches of heavy, wet snow. I can't get the snowblower out because if I open the garage door, I will lose all the heat that I've been able to build up in there. Guess I'll be shoveling later today
