Thank you card
Thank you card
A lady who our fire department assisted on an EMS call a couple years ago made a full size bed quilt which she has given to the department to raffle off as a fundraiser. Her way of saying thank you.
So Mike asked me to make a thank you card for the guys to sign.
I decided some quilt blocks would be nice. A little more tedious than I planned, but I like it and Mike does too.

How wonderful in every way!
Re: Thank you card
You did a great job with all the fiddly quilt blocks. I hope you raise lots of money when you raffle her beautiful quilt.

Re: Thank you card
What a nice thing...the fire fighters, the quilt, all the gratitude...the card! Great job, Debi!
Re: Thank you card
She apparently donated a quilt to another organization in her town, I think... and told Mike it raised about $5000 ... and rightly so... this one is a gorgeous quilt and is a full/queen size... so tons of work. We'll most likely set up a long-term raffle and we'll make sure it's promoted on Facebook, etc. so lots of people can purchase a chance.

Re: Thank you card
Are the quilt squares in your card done with dies, digitally cut, or a combination? Just curious...
Re: Thank you card
I found some images online and then cut them on my Silhouette... then I used a square die to cut the individual blocks out - because they weren't lined up evenly when I created the cut file.. LOL I like them better now that I cut them out, though... especially with the stitched outline of the die.

Re: Thank you card
Your card is perfection! She will so appreciate the care and time you took with your card just as she did with the quilt.

Terrific idea for the card, Debi. And what a generous gift to the community; I hope the raffle raises lots of money.
