Shipping to NZ remains ridiculous. 6-10 business days for USPS International Express really means 45 business days (minimum) and Fed Ex is a minimum of 14 days and I didn’t get anything in the mail to any of the grandkids.
Same thing at Easter. I have got to get my act together.
We were invited to my co-worker’s on Sunday for a meal and the pool. I made the goodie bags for her and a friend of her’s who plans to join us. I left the goodies for one out of the bag so you can see I got R W & B packaged candies. I know! I love this Heidi Swapp stamp set and plan to use it on Independence Day layouts. And you know I’ll get something in the mail soon for the grandkids. They enjoy late surprises from Grandma.

Re: July 4 goodie bags
Pam, what boxes are you using to ship to NZ? I just shipped one June 25th to Christchurch and as of yesterday it was already in Auckland. I don't use USPS boxes, I just use one from Target or Walmart.
Love the goodie bags, btw. So cute!

I used a USPS priority box. Said it arrived to Auckland on May 9 but it didn’t arrive until 3 weeks after that.
Will stick with Fed Ex. At least I can get accurate tracking.

Terrific goodie bags, Pam!
Many years ago, I was never able to get my
Christmas gift packages mailed anywhere near
the Christmas holiday and I was always sort of
embarrassed about it. Now 40 years later, the
nieces and nephews tell me they loved that my
packages arrived so far after Christmas, said it felt
like two days of celebration

I made one more goodie bag with candies for Cara’s 3 (same as one in the first photo) and this tag for Kenan. He wants cash - saving for a Go-Pro.

I think Keenan is going to LOVE that bow!
Re: July 4 goodie bags (one more)
Pam, have you tried any of the online places to pay for postage and then just drop off at the Post Office? I tried one, can't remember the name now which would be helpful, it was right before we left last year and it was cheaper than the PO, print out label at home and then just drop off.
I don't know about NZ but OZ is still having very few international flights in or out of the country per day.

Marianne, I feel as though I’ve tried everything. Thank goodness for online shopping in NZ. We saved a lot of money last Christmas by shopping stores in Auckland. Delivery was fast and reasonably priced. Riz’ business account with Fed Ex is much cheaper than for peons like me but I don’t want to take advantage of his generosity either. And yes, the limited flights have impacted mail dramatically.
