The bird stamp is pretty wonderful. It would also look great with a sand-colored (depending on which beach, right?) base and a lighter blue sky for more of a traditional "beachy" look. Nice, versatile design.

Pam I thought of reversing the colors so the orange was the ground also. But living and birding in land-locked surroundings I realize I created how I see my shore birds out in the open marshes at sunset. No beaches where I live. I will try this again with the Perfect Pearls technique and a beach look.

Your color choices on the card are just gorgeous and immediately made me think of sunset over a lake or marsh (though most around me are more green than blue!). With color choices, we completely control the "mood" of our artwork, don't we? We often give clues to where we live (or wish we lived!) as well - for instance, lake vs. beach for waterfront designs.

Farley,

With or without sentiment, I love your card!

What a wonderful card Farley. The colors are really a great choice.

I love those little birds also. Maybe I'll pull them out and use them again.

Oh thank you everyone! It seems that that SU stamp set was really a popular one. I know so many stampers who have that set. It is a winner.

I've got another animal card in the works though it is more in my head than on paper. Let's see if I can pull this off. Hoping to get it done on Sunday.
