Nancy - what is that circle pattern I see in the top one? I really like it.nancine wrote:I'm embarrassed to post mine now - you all have done great stuff! ... I used Dabbers and Heavy Bodied acrylics and the teal color is Lumiere. I haven't made them into anything yet, but I think they might make good backgrounds for something?

Here is my attempt. Again very limited supplies here at my Mom's house. I know, that's always my excuse!
I had some alcohol ink gold mixative, crayons, colored pencils and a two pointed Sharpie marker. paper is an Academy cream photo mat. I might add some Valentine saying on the heart to finish it off.

You guys are so darned talented.
This is another one of the doodles using the Berlin foil leafing pen resist. I tried the packing tape transfer with a seed catalog - added some Pearl Mixative on the back of the flowers but I think the glue pulled most of it off. Oh well, interesting effect where it did stick.

Such wonderful work you have all done. I just got home and threw something together. It is wet and laying on alum foil to dry but I so want to be in on this one.
Hope you like them.

Re: Weekend Challenge ENDS 2/8-TOTALLY ABSTRACT
I was so inspired by everyone's entries, that I had to pull out a 4x6 Musical Interlude cream piece of cardstock and some Lumiere purple, and play. DD is working on a painting, so I stole some of her white to mix in with the purple. After that dried, I scribbled on top with a pink Galaxy bold-tip marker, and outlined with fine-point Sharpie. It's ready to send off as a postcard!

Holy Smokes you all! I'm astounded (thought not surprised) by all of your artwork. Each one of these are so unique and fabulous. One of these weekends Christy I'll try this but in the meantime WOW...you all rock.
