Just wanted to post this gorgeous post card I received last week from Rachelle. As I have already said, the masterpiece of this "post card" blows me away and makes me wonder if I can even come close to such art. Thanks so much, Rachelle. Fabulous card.

This card doesn't really belong here, I am sure. But it's the birthday card for my sister and until she receives it, I can't post it anywhere else. This is a set of stamps she gave me for my birthday this year and I've been anxious to try them. I fussy cut the bike and banners (tearing my hair out all the way....there's a reason I love dies to match my stamps).

The paper pad used is Shoreline from American Crafts, a delightfully summery pad of paper. I did use this week's sketch from OWH but as I mentioned, I don't want to post it anywhere until Chrissie sees it. Thanks for looking.

So, I took this Zentangle class and I am absolutely ADDICTED!!! :cool5: I've been surfing on the net for them; finding different surfaces for them and then I decided I needed a special carrying pouch for the supplies. So, break out the black and white fat quarters and this is what I came up with. It's 2 sided and has pockets for a small clipboard (that I zentangled on our camping trip during the tremendous bouts of rain); still have the back to do, the 3.5 inch square tiles that are the traditional size for tangling; a bulky pocket for 3-D objects I'm working on; pen and pencil sleeves and I covered the little book they gave us in the class for jotting down your favorite tangles.

Pics of the front of the Zentangle Pouch. And some of the seashells I've been tangling.

I started this wall hanging about a month ago and never got back to it. At 7:00 this morning I was busy at the sewing machine determined to finish it. I used an old lace edged table runner and started sewing on fabric, lace and ribbon. I made a flower from the same fabric, and then just started adding things from my stash.

So, glutton for punishment that I am, I joined the new projects cabin over at CS (as well as my old standby, digi) Thought it might help me get some of those dusty projects finished up. I started with the Up Up and Away project where you lift up the lid and there are these balloons hanging. Kind of a silly project, but now that it's done it might turn out to be a good card holder or maybe a good box to keep treasure pieces for jewelry making in. Anyway, glad I got that out of the project drawer. And it prompted me to go through some older scrapraps, where I came across this cute little matchbox that I whipped up this morning. Think it'll make a great tiny gift holder.

I'm cheating and using last year's definition of water sports to post my layout. :tomato: Especially since these photos were from LAST summer.

Anyway, the first layout is from a Scrapbook Generation page kit, but there were so many leftover scraps, that I decided to continue the theme with a bit of my own stash thrown in and do the both sketch options. TFL!

I dug through some more old CS scrapraps and found this cute folio type card keeper. I also played with that recipe for stencil paste that Pam C. linked us too. Fab stuff, and I didn't have to run to the store. :cool5: This is from the Let Me Count the Ways rap. Went together in a snap and I love the stencil paste; dried quick, smelled good and took the mists great.

This is a 2 page spread using 8 pictures that also satisfies a Weekly Chronicles prompt for "recipe". Just love that it captures the joy my kids are having spending a day at the beach with their grandparents. Wish my dad wasn't always the one behind the camera, but I can hear his laugh anyway.

I'm going with Challenge 1 here and calling the taped frame corners and the diecut filmstrip the 2 items for the challenge.

A couple more projects finished this week. One is the Pure and Simple pocket album (I think it was a psl prize; I sure miss those little goodies) and the other is another Make me a Matchbox, ( I love this little project).
