It's not that perfect! I think the less you struggle for perfection, the better it turns out. This is what I do.
Rule a faint line with a pencil. Place the paper at a comfortable angle (especially if you are left-handed). Use a felt-tip pen rather than a small fibre-tip. Write fairly quickly, don't agonise over each letter. And remember that your handwriting is unique.

Just a few more days to get your entries in for September! Don't know about you but this month has flown by for me!
If you have a layout to enter, don't forget to add buttons and the marker besides yourself to make it more challenging.
