Got my lottery piece done just under the wire. This all started with my quilt group meeting earlier in the month. We had a special presenter who came and showed us her thread painted quilts and talked about the technique. I was really inspired by how beautiful they were and wanted to try it. So, I thought, well Time is a good theme and it might inspire me to figure out something for the lottery. So I spent some time over the last 2 weeks trying out thread painting. I really love how it turned out! It is the first photo. A close up in the second photo. And it did inspire me to do a canvas paper piece using Twinks, acrylics, paper punches, flowersoft and gears. I'm out of small bird stickers so I need to add some before I send, but the lottery piece is essentially done. It is the third photo.

That thread painting looks like A LOT of work and I love how you changed it up for the lottery piece. Beautiful pieces.

Here's my piece for the winner. The background is the tissue paper and pan pastel technique. The heart is molding paste and pan pastel. The wings and clock are the glittered glass and cloisonné techniques. The quote is "I promise to follow my heart and make time for my dreams".
