I finally got mine done. For the mask I used Stampin' Up!s Top Note Die, Stickers are ones I got ages and ages ago on sale and have never used them. As far as the new tool the Top Note Die and Big shot are new, also the Pine Needles Distress Ink and the Tim Holtz Letter to Santa stamp set are all new! The card stock is all CS but don't know which kits, the wonderful tag I received from Gwen in my Santa goodies and thought it would be perfect for this page.
My grandson was being a real little stinker here. I was trying to get a good family photo and he would not take his fingers out of his mouth and the more I asked the deeper he stuck them in and added more fingers.

Again - they're all great!
I'm wondering, without this challenge, would you have tried this technique? (masking - making your own background paper)
Will you do it again?
Doing mine this weekend!

Wow! Everyone! These are fantastic. I'm loving all the mask ideas I'm getting. And I think I'm going to find time to do this one. I've almost cleared my January swap slate. Whew! Note to self-- don't do that again. :shots:

Probably not for scrapbooking pages. I like to get them done fairly quick. for my art journal, cards, etc most definitely.
And no without this challenge I would not have done it, but am glad I did. Good to shake thing up once in a while.

I love it. I'm going to do another page this weekend. It's going to be my November 2005 of the grandchildren. I think I'll use pumkins.....

Great job Jess. It turned out great.

Cheryl I love the LO. I can't beleive that you are scrapping Dec. 2008.

Pam, I love masking and will try it again.

Apparently my previous attempt at posting disappeared.

Love all the movement in your masked background, Jess! Thanks for joining in!

The unposed photos really capture the moment, Cheryl! And I like the echoed shape behind the photos.

Yikes, I better get working on next month's challenge, you guys are so enthusiastic! Please, PM me with any ideas you all have for challenges.
