Emma visit Santa

The local firehouse always has a Santa "parade" during the weeks before Christmas. One man dresses as Santa and sits on the huge ladder truck and all the trucks; engine, brush, rescue make a procession blaring their horns and drive through the developments. Well, we are waiting and the trucks go down the next block over from us, we can see them and they turn onto the main road, and drive right past us. Oh No!! Emma is not going to see Santa again (this is maybe our 4th try with no success, at the mall at a community event, etc) So we head off running because the fire house is on the next block behind my house. As we finally get to the firehouse, they are closing the doors and I start banging on the glass. One fella opens the door and I tell him you drove past us and the baby wanted to see Santa. Being the good guys that they are, Emma and Mom and I are invited in for a personal visit with Santa!!

Thank you ladies for all your kind words. Emma is my one and only grand from six children!! I guess they had enough little ones growing up themselves - LOL. She is the apple of my eye. She is center stage in a lot of my layouts.
