July 2020 - Travel pages

Post by pamcook »

Great minds are thinking alike around here.
I thought I might as well go ahead and post my July challenge.

You guessed correctly - the challenge is to scrapbook travel photos. Old, recent - doesn't matter. What does matter is that you use at least 3 items from the following list on your page -

Camera
Road signs
arrow
globe
planes, trains, or automobiles
houses
luggage tags
tickets
boarding passes
compass
hiking boots
maps

I'm glad you explained, because 'July 2020 Travel' sure sounded like an oxymoron to me. I'm always happy to scrap travel pages, although might have to add the following to my list: cruise ships, binoculars, city/country signs.

Oh fun!! I already have a head start!!

And I actually had one of the little ticket stubs from the first leg of my trip. No idea where the others went, but those two stubs were tucked in the little album behind a photo. Yay!!

I borrowed this sketch/layout from Paper Issues and I used arrows, map paper, a camera, a house, and a compass on the letter O of Favorite.

My granddaughter hiking Spring Trail on the way to Sheridan Lake and yes they travelled about 40 miles to the trail, does that count as a travel layout?

Absolutely it counts and it’s a great page!

I made a 2 page layout about a beach trip and didn’t use a single thing on the list. (Smh)

This was the evening that our tour took us to experience the Midnight Sun at the North Cape. Unfortunately the weather was cold, wet and very windy. No sun, so the big photo is from the guide book, what it might have been! But we did see lots of reindeer.
We each received an attractive certificate and information folder, and I added a compass to make my three travel-related elements.
Kathryn.

Beautiful Kathryn! The colors of the layout really enhance the colors in the photos. I like that you've made the certificate part of the layout as well.

Thankyou for your kind comments. The Visitor Centre at the North Cape is new and quire stunning. We saw a wonderful "sound and light" show there in an underground theatre.

So I’m adding a bunch of layouts to the Colorado thread but thought this on fit this challenge

There are road signs and arrows. And arrow and car on the little circle stickers. And part of my rental car in a photo.
