Punch paper scraps using any shape punch. Use these punches shapes for the base. Use tags, puffy stickers, word strips, stickers - whatever bits & pieces you have to decorate those shapes.

First example - I cut a star from a sheet of patterned paper. Added a snowflake punches from glitter paper, enamel dots & a word phrase. Then I glued it to a card front and added more enamel dots.

Next examples - I used a scalloped edge square punch. Added stickers and made a gift tag. The wreath tag was glued onto a doily folded in half. I added a swan puffy sticker, a word strip, a star, and some punched snowflakes.

I punched several of the scalloped squares from scraps of paper and used puffy stickers, word strips, and Star stickers. I used a pen to make a border (because I’m too lazy to sew and pieces this small wouldn’t be fun!).
I chose six of them to embellish this scrapbook page.

I started with the squares and then branched out to the star & wreath examples to show it doesn’t matter what shape you choose. It’s a great way to use bits & pieces from your stash. I hope you’ll give it a try!

Nice examples Pam. That star would also make a nice package topper, in lieu of a bow. I'm always thinking I should do more collaging of small bits and pieces; it's never my go-to activity.

I suppose I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the pieces in my Christmas stash. We don’t get much snow and when we do, I only want to enjoy it from our front porch. I have so many mittens, skis, “brrr” (you get the idea) stickers and die cuts that I’m feeling the need to use them or lose them. Also, how many images of Santa does one really need in their stash?
Apparently I need to ramble this morning. All that to say, yes Keitha - my thoughts exactly!

Pam, you've reminded me of a conversation Marianne and I had just before Christmas. I asked what Christmas decor down under looked like - I expected to see Santas in board shorts, lights in palm trees, maybe wallabies and wombats instead of reindeer. But instead I learned that it looks very much it does in the Northern Hemisphere. Go figure.
On a somewhat related note, I've been purging a file of juvenile papers this morning. Would it surprise you to learn I just stuck a plush spaceship in my cart at Amazon for the dog, so I've got a reason to use some of these rocket-themed papers? My other option - a trip to Disney World - isn't possible at the moment.
By the way, I've got lots of snow - want me to send you some, LOL?

I used your star idea as my inspiration, Pam, and just grabbed scraps that were sitting in my work area from other projects, plus a piece of awesome polka dot paper from a special friend. The large snowflake behind the star was offset on purpose, and “merry” is angled purposely as well. I totally copied your idea and incorporated this into a card...

Beki! Yay! I’m so glad you jumped in. I’m always surprised at how little it takes to make lovely little clusters of awesome for cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. Great cards!

Thanks, Pam! I appreciate the “shove”, your challenge to use scraps was just what I needed...plus I wanted to play with some of the dies I treated myself to.

Here’s one more for today...I used the rest of the snowflake swirls I cut apart for the first card.

I also cut out a couple more elements, but I need to mull over their possibilities. I cut them early in the day and they’re just not inspiring me...I may take your scalloped square idea and do something like that, although I don’t have any scalloped squares. I do not need more. I do not need more. I do not need more...

The snowflake swirls are lovely!
I’d be happy to send you some scalloped squares.

Thank you, you’re so sweet! If I decide to go that route, I can always cut them with the Cricut, plus doing so would use some of this horde of paper...an inch or two, anyway! Or, I could use those pinked circles I just had to have...

I am so glad for the shove to use what’s sitting around, without worrying & spending a lot of time thinking about it.

Today’s card uses a Gnome die I’ve had a while but hadn’t bothered to use...I’m sure I’m the only one who does that. Then I remembered a baggie of goodies that came in a recent class kit & decided to make tags & embellishments...the Kraft tags are 3” square & the smaller pieces are 2”.

Thanks again, Pam! Now I need to dream up something fun for February....
