Does anyone have a link - or want to take the time to type out some tips for taking selfies? I don't know where to look at my camera. I don't know how to avoid weird shadows. Any and all tips would be very much appreciated!

There are several videos on youtube - one of them is about lighting. I haven't watched them but maybe you can pick up some tips there.
