Aug/Sept Technique Junkies

Post by nancine »

Here are some cards I made today. I was waiting for some background stamps I ordered and my friend Chrissie sent me a crackle stamp that I "needed"! these are the It Takes Two & Back to Back techniques.

Very nice Nancy! I like that flower stamp. I haven't pulled out my TJ newsletters in a long time, half of them I have yet to open. Think I need to do it.

Very nice! I love your color choices.
I never would have thought to layer background stamps but now...

Lovely cards! I'm going to add that to my short-term to-do list as well. I think I have a few background stamps that would work well for this technique.

If you don't get TJN (and why not  ) I'll give you the basic idea!
Idea #1
Stamp a background stamp in lightest color, should be fairly "busy" - here I used the canvas type bkgrd.
Stamp second background in darker or complimentary color - this bkgrd. should be less busy.
Stamp crackle, scratched etc. background stamp in darkest color.

Idea #2
Ink up a fairly busy background stamp with ink, leaving plenty of uninked areas.
Finish inking up with second color of ink.
Stamp
Stamp crackle stamp over this with darker color.
