Art Journal
Art Journal
I've put this together out of a lot of painted paper towels, napkins, maps and photos from books and magazines. They are all ironed onto some old fusible interfacing that wasn't good for sewing through otherwise I would have sewed around the edges.
The covers are cardboard, painted, modeling paste, stencils, etc. Inside cover with crocheted sample and front page General view of pages

How cool. Love your placed the crochet piece in your journal.
Re: Art Journal
I was lucky enough to nail one of your paper towels at Donna's last year. It's the best looking part of my journal.

Fabulous job Marianne!!
Question: did you cover the magazine pages with any kind of medium, other than where they've obviously been overlapped with towel, etc?

Re: Art Journal
Can I get some lessons, please ????
Re: Art Journal
I replied to this earlier but I don't know what happened to the post. Most of the pages have a light wash of gesso or a tannish paint painted over in a hit or miss fashion. I also use matte medium over magazine pictures because I don't like the shine of them.Keitha wrote:Fabulous job Marianne!!

Thank you for all the comments, everyone!
