July Holiday Card Challenge - 2017
July Holiday Card Challenge - 2017
Jumping in a wee bit early since I'm out of here for vacation PDQ!
I thought PLAID would be fun for holiday cards. I have some more ideas in mind, but made these cards up quick with my limited time this week. (and I didn't want to drag the Christmas box down from the top shelf )
I made my own plaid for the one with wonky layers ( a MFT die set) - a "candy cane" background stamped in two directions with red and green ink.
Then the other card is some plaid paper from a 6x6 paper pad. Super simple, just some die cuts.
Lets call these two "plaid & pines" LOL

Oh these are lovely, Cheryl. Great use of "music " paper on both cards.

Pretty cards Cheryl! You hopped right in, great!
Re: July Holiday Card Challenge - 2017
I think they need some gold mist splatters.
Shamelessly grovelling for bonus points. I'm very pleased with my beginner-level watercoloring.

They are beautiful Pam! Great job on coloring, something I have no luck with.

Very nicely done, Pam. Let them sit awhile and then maybe go back in and add some shadows around the centers or under overlapping leaves or petals for depth. Use pencils if the watercolors are intimidating.

Oooh, very pretty Pam. Like that delicate coloring.

Pencils are much less scary than watercolors. And you can erase them! Oh, yes, and gold splatters are always good!!pamcook wrote:Pencils?!!?!? You're brilliant! I'll do that.

I did cut them out. If I had a die, I'd be too lazy to use it!
